We are so close! We are 3 minutes ahead of schedule and are still having fun! Though I think most of us agree that these were the hardest runs we have done, mentally and physically. The heat has taken it's toll, but the scenery this section is amazing. David started the the last 6 legs with a long brutal set of hills, but came in under time. I felt slow, sluggish and that my legs were lead, but some how managed to make it in a few seconds before my predicted time. Which didn't seem possible as my stomach was giving me issues. I handed off to Alicia who looked so focused as we passed her- she came in 20 secs early, tired but glad to be done. Joe has the longest of the day- we are still waiting as Annie is preparing to her start leg- the end is in sight!
